@archvala I agree that would be nice. I do a lot of walking and don't always encounter anything of value. When there is something on my map, it's usually far enough away I close out of the app to surf Facebook or play something else while walking there. It's nice that HP regenerates with walking but once I'm quickly back to full life there's nothing left for me. Dust is a great idea, but I'd also support the chest. Making the chest open based on walking as opposed to a timer would distinguish it from potions, making the play style slightly different. It would mean longer between opening chests though. I usually get three in rapid succession and then nothing the rest of the day. If I had to walk to unlock them, I might only get one chest instead, so I'd expect a bit more dust than the 0-3 pieces I currently get from the chests to be satisfied.
Another idea might be to establish 'libraries' communal (preferably indoor) areas where players could congregate to fight off monster invasions. This feature would work very similarly to PoGo lures. We'd still have to travel a bit to get there, and it would encourage social interaction with other players. Not quite as ideal, but better than tramping through the snow (dramatically reducing my game progression) come winter.
Yeah, I fought a player half my level (19) and he had full set of "butt kicking" armour that had to be purchased. I've been playing for 2 weeks and got my first dust today. Yay meeeeeee! 😁 But having lvl 50 hebalism lets me harvestall potion items. It's just too bad that I can ony brew lvl 4 potions 😂. However, I'm super rich with coins 237k and no place to spend it but more potions
For now, I've been mixing up schools of spells to level them up equally. Some monsters defend beyter thsn others per school. As for PvP, I usually find myself fighting same player a few times in a row, which allows me to switch my deck if I see a favorable trend on their part.
I would kike to add that after an 8 hour road trip to New York City and back (16 hrs total), I've niw hiy lvl 50 herbalism. It would be nice if there were spritual tonics for sale in the shop.
Just my 2 cents, but people from Ingress and PoGo both came to the same result, Niantics don't care about the player base. The Maguss team simply need to pay attention to their player base and will end up winning this war.
Main points that made me like this game more are that being in an area far from big cities doesn't slow progress down, meanwhile the Niantics games make you regret not living in the city. Also, Niantics games don't offer any gameplay if you aren't on the go, this game allows you to brew potions when you are home, and throw out duel invites.
All that to say that I'm not scared about Niantics game, Maguss team just needs to make this game by listening to our feedback and keep in mind that not everyone lives in the city and they will win hands down.
