Happens to me on my S8+ but I just chalked it up to the fact that I don't have wifi and I get poor cell phone reception.

I don't know if it has been discussed before, but if you think about it, there's not really much of a reason for players to join in the PvP tournament. There needs to be a greater incentive to duel than just bragging rights and the chance to maybe get an armor illusion. And that doesn't even work half the time. I think I finished in the top 10 or 15 during the last tournament season, but I only ended up with less than half the points I'd need to get even 1 piece of the armor illusion. And I couldn't find an opponent for the life of me.
I think in addition to the way it is now, there should be rewards of actual gear. And whichever league you end up finishing in, determines the quality of that item. Or maybe instead of just one, you get to choose from multiple ones. That way you keep people participating who've already won before.
Maybe to minimizing it being over powering, give it a unique ability that only applies to PvP battles. Like a spellbook that increases the amount of gold you get from PvP. Or a headgear item that gives you a concentration bonus for duels. Or possibly a unique spell with an effect geared toward duels. Or anything like that really.
Then the prospect of getting the reward will encourage tournament participation, and then having the item itself will do that as well.
That way everyone would be battling to achieve an actual in-game benefit.
Because frankly, if I wasn't somewhat of a competitive person who enjoys the idea of battling real people, I'd see no valid reason to spend my time on the PvP tournament at all.
RE: Duel Matchmaking Suggestion - We can have our cake and eat it, too!
I have an alternate suggestion.
The problem seems to be that the people who want to duel are not always online and playing together at the same time.
So what if you just limit dueling to the first 15 or 20 minutes of each hour?
Then that would make people who are wanting to duel 3 or 4 times more likely to be online while other duelists are.
Maybe you could just implement this for a short period of time until the number of active players increase. Or until the game comes out of beta. Or maybe just during the later half of the dueling season when participation slacks off.
9Morgan Connemara's Story
He is a follower of the old ways, and was originally a Druid of the old Gods. He wandered the ancient forests protecting it and it's inhabitants from harm. And for a time, he was at peace.
Then war came to his forest.
There was little he could do against entire armies of men who burned and cut their way across the land, destroying all that he loved. In their wake, they left only ash. And standing amid the ruins of his home, a cold and riteous fury was kindled in the heart of Morgan Connemara.
He cast aside his Druidic robes and his peaceful ways. He doned armor, he picked up a fallen sword, and he swore an oath of vengeance against any who would dare harm Gaia.
Morgan walks this world still, as judge and jury for those who would bring harm to the natural world.
And should any man or monster impede him, may all the Gods have mercy on their soul.
