It changes your look in PvP but does not effect any stats.
But it doesn't overwrite/replace your "real gear? You still have the stats from your real gear?

As the title asks - how do the Armor Illusions work? They're called "illusion" so I'm ass-u-ming they just change your appearance, but before I burn my backer dust on them, I want to make sure they don't REPLACE the "real" gear you're wearing; I NEED those stats!
Has anyone else seen this guy on YouTube yet? Honestly, I think Sam TheOilMan is kinda cheesy. He might be giving this game a bad name.
To each their own. I like Sam because he's just a normal, real guy, not another "Brand."
To be truthful, you go at the same time. If you ever watch, occasionally you can see that a heal will go off even after a creature has reached 0 hp. No, it does display as you go, I go, You go, for turns, but basically the combat is not decided until each has had their turns.
That can't quite be true. Consider the case of a 2-slot debuff spell and Willpower being cast on the same alignment. Sometimes, the Willpower lands first, blocking the debuff; this means the Willpower caster has "gone first." Other times, the debuff lands first and isn't blocked by Willpower; this time, the debuff caster has "gone first."
It's odd. I've seen the weird "everything happens at once" apparent visual effects, too, but, there is a definite order.
As @Memnoich and @RobynOakwise pointed out, the game is Augmented Reality, as it allows you to see herbs and such, and fight monsters, and collect chests, which you cannot "see" in the real world, without aid of the game.
AR still doesn't have a single, objective, concrete definition.
The first major AR game, Ingress, is much like this, allowing you to see and interact with things you can't see without the app.
I hear ya on all points. I think a primary reason people don't come here/don't read/etc is many really don't grasp the fact that this is in fact a real, true Alpha. Not a fake "Beta" that's really a soft-launch. A real, live, ugly Alpha with major, massive, bugs. :D
(But still manages to be amazingly fun!)
And yeah I think Steal is misdecribed or broken (or both!). I've not been able to get it to do anything either.
